One of the juggernaut games expected for a 2020 release is the widely hyped RPG Cyberpunk 2077, from CD Projekt RED, makers of the beloved Witcher series. While the future is uncertain this year with so many game delays, CD Projekt has said that they’re still on track for a 2020 release for Cyberpunk 2077, and have revealed some more info about the game today.
The official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account stated that “‘The Mox’ is a gang that was created in 2076 after a strip club owner and former prostitute, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Borden died. Borden was someone who treated her workers fairly and defended them from violent clients, and so The Mox call themselves those who protect working girls and guys from violence and abuse.”
There will supposedly be many gangs and corporations in Cyberpunk, and while it seems like it won’t be possible to join most of (if any) of them, they will most likely act as quest vendors, giving you jobs to do along the way. CD Projekt RED’s global community lead Marcin Momot also stated that there will be more information on gangs in Cyberpunk 2077 coming out sooner rather than later. So anyone hyped for the game should keep their eyes peeled.
Cyberpunk 2077 is still slated for release on September 17, 2020 for PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Stadia.
