If you look at your account balance and see an extra ~$60 pop up in there unexpectedly, don’t get too excited. It probably means that your Last of Us 2 digital pre-order was refunded to you.
With the announcement of the indefinite delay of the release of Last of Us 2, the title is being taken down off of digital storefronts, refunding customers with active pre-orders in the process. Refunds do not apply for users with pre-orders through third parties though.
You don’t have to do anything to have your refund processed/accepted; once it is processed it will go through automatically. There’s no word at all yet that Last of Us 2 has been cancelled fortunately; on the contrary, all word coming out about it is that the game is complete and ready for market. Sony and Naughty Dog are simply waiting for some market and economic stabilization before trying to launch the widely-anticipated title.
In the meantime, check out some of the most recent screenshots released from the game to hold you over.
